The Maples is currently hiring for a full time position in the Food Services Department for the position of Prep Cook. This position reports directly to the Kitchen Manager.
To be considered for this position an applicant must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and take pride in delivering an exceptional food experience to our residents. More specifically the position calls for fulfilling the following duties:
Prepare various menu items such as sandwiches, salads and meals for lunch and dinner.
Prepare special menu meals in specific accordance to standards.
Set up the breakfast buffet as required.
Wrap, store and label prepared foods.
Assemble and prepare food products for future meals.
Rotate food stocks in dry storage, fridge and freezer.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen area and equipment.
Remove waste to the appropriate bins.
Cooking duties as scheduled.
Provide table service to residents.
Load dishwasher and remove dishes once cleaned.
