Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook/Line Cook & Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality. In this position, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently and will also occasionally partake in customer-facing tasks. At Bud the Spud, we are team oriented and we train across positions.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food by chopping, slicing, blanching, etc. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the manager. Collaborate with other staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Assist in putting away orders (heavy lifting required at times) Interact with customers and take payments

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome enthusiastic individuals willing to learn. Basic cooking skills, including knowledge of meal preparation techniques, are advantageous. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are necessary for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 45 per week
