Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to menu specifications and recipes Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients Support cooking processes by following established culinary standards and safety protocols Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment Ensure proper food handling and storage practices to uphold food safety standards Assist with menu planning and meal presentation to enhance customer satisfaction Support catering events or special meal services as needed Follow all health regulations and safety procedures during food preparation and service Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals

Experience

Previous experience in a dietary department, dietary aide role, or restaurant environment is preferred Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Skills in knife handling, meal preparation, and food industry best practices Experience with catering or serving is a plus Culinary experience or background in the food service industry will be highly regarded
