Heartland Feeds is a family owned and operated Livestock Nutrition and Agronomy Service business based out of Ponoka, AB. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as a Premix Plant Operator in our state-of-the-art facility. We strive to produce high quality livestock nutrition products for our clients across Western Canada.

Premix Plant Operator

Qualifications:

Passion for Agriculture

Physically fit and have the ability to lift 25 Kg

Positive work attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail. Willingness to learn

Ability to work with a team but also self-motivated to be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.

Forklift certification is considered an asset, but training would be provided to the right candidate.

Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Required Skills:

Operate and monitor premix production and bagging equipment using computerized and controlled systems.

Follow strict manufacturing practices and record keeping procedures

Load bulk trucks and efficiently ship products ordered by customers

Perform the tasks related to the preventive and sanitary maintenance of the plant and ensure that the quality control requirements of the ingredients are met at all times

Ensure accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded daily

Collect & process samples as required

Troubleshoot minor problems as needed and perform maintenance tasks to fix

Must be eligible to work in Canada.
