Rainforest Learning Centre Langley is now hiring a center Manager.

WAGE SHOWN DOES NOT INCLUDE WAGE ENHANCEMENT*

The Centre Manager assumes responsibility for the day to day operations of the Centre. The Manager is responsible for maintaining operations within BC provincial guidelines, program planning, working effectively with staff, working with families and children, connecting with the community, mentoring students and administrative responsibilities related to the day to day operation of the Centre. The Manager is responsible for providing leadership in keeping with our centers philosophy as well as for quality client service to foster student success. This position requires you to be on the floor in ratio Monday to Friday with scheduled administrative time

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Plan, carry out, and assess developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in harmony with the centre's philosophy

2. Individualize the curriculum to meet the needs of the classroom

3. Ensure guidance of children's behavior that encourages positive self-concept

4. Ensure the child's environment is healthy and safe and operates within licensing requirements.

5. Ensure positive communication with parents and families

6. Contribute to the ongoing operations of the centre

7. Administration and working with our accounting department

8. Staff supervision

Successful applicant must show passion, a strong work ethic and enthusiasm in working with young children. Applicant must have FULL VALID BC ECE LICENCE TO PRACTICE , valid first aid, minimum of 2 years experience in a group child care setting and/or be a capable, strong and confident teacher. Applicant will conduct a personal interview as well as demonstrate their skill on the floor with the children as part of the hiring process. Must have strong language and communication skills.

Our centres are exciting and fast paced. Shift is 8:30 - 5pm Monday through Friday. We pay well and offer full benefits. Come join our team and be part of the Rainforest Learning Centre.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.50-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
