At Lexus of Calgary, we are renowned for our VIP Service and in need of a Full-Time Apprentice Service Technician to perform simple maintenance on Lexus vehicles and be mentored to achieve their Journeyman Technician Certificate. Hours of work:



Monday to Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Occasional Saturdays

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



Works alongside an assigned technician to learn to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs. Assists assigned technician as needed. Delivers customer cars to service stalls as requested by technicians. Picks up parts from the parts department as directed by technicians. Performs safety inspections, oil changes, tire changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance and minor repairs as directed. Replenishes supplies as requested by technicians or service manager. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Attends training classes and departmental meetings. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Takes care and pride when operating customer vehicle(s). Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



Graduate of an accredited Automotive Service Technician program or Pre-Employment Automotive Service Technician program. Completed classroom training and seeking apprenticeship hours. Perform precise work, especially during safety inspections and repairs, to ensure vehicle safety and quality service. Ensure accuracy in documenting repairs and maintenance performed. Continuously update knowledge and skills to keep up with changing automotive technologies and repair techniques. Learn and apply new information from training sessions and departmental meetings. Have good hearing, eyesight and manual dexterity. Have a mechanical aptitude and an interest in the field. Have working knowledge of electricity and computers. Focused, driven, team player, with strong and effective communication skills Work effectively within a team environment, recognizing and respecting the roles and contributions of others. Efficiently manage time to complete tasks and repairs within set deadlines. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. Clearly communicate with technicians and supervisors. Understand and follow instructions accurately. A passion for customer service and Automobiles Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, including heavy tools, equipment, and vehicle parts. Working in various conditions, including potentially uncomfortable positions.

Requirements:



Class 5 driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to drive a manual transmission. Legally entitled to work in Canada.
