We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of
Predictive Maintenance Specialist
. Tacora is seeking a mechanically inclined, hands-on technician with a talent for diagnosing equipment issues, making practical reliability recommendations, and working safely and independently. This is an ideal role for someone who is curious, motivated to learn, and confident working with minimal supervision. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL requiring candidates to work 7-days on/7-days off 12-hour rotation.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and continuously improving the Predictive Maintenance (PDM) program across Vibration, Thermography and Lubrication Technologies
Execute and refine condition monitoring routes
Perform the routes adequately according to the preventive maintenance program:
Vibration Analysis Routes
Visual Detail Inspections Routes
Oil samples Routes
Thermography Routes
Identify deficiencies and suggest corrective actions or accessibility/safety improvements
Support root cause analysis (RCA) efforts with relevant vibration/lube insights
Help develop and maintain KPI dashboards to track the reliability program's performance
Organize and maintain lube storage areas using 5S methodology

Complete assigned work orders responsibly, safely and on time
Career Path & Training:
Technicians will begin at Level I as a Lubrication/Vibration Technician (MLA I and CAT I certified), with opportunities to progress through Levels II, III, and IV.
Advancement is based on the completion of recognized industry certifications and demonstrated growth in technical skills, reliability knowledge, and field performance.
As part of this development path, technicians will be expected to expand their expertise across all core condition monitoring technologies, building a well-rounded and industry-aligned predictive maintenance skillset.
Skills, Qualifications & Education:
Experience in condition monitoring and lubrication practices is a strong asset--certifications such as MLA I/II or ISO CAT I/II are preferred.
Journeyperson certification in a mechanical trade (Mechanic or Millwright) or equivalent hands-on industrial maintenance experience would be considered an asset.
Candidates with a Professional Technologist (PTech) background in Mechanical or Electrical fields will also be considered.
Strong computer literacy is essential, including proficiency in Word, Powerpoint, Excel, PI Vision, and familiarity with digital tools such as AI-based analytics, data collectors, and CMMS platforms.
Solid understanding of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability principles.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
Committed to maintaining high safety standards.
Displays respect, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with team members and stakeholders.
