Tasks

Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts Repair machine tools and parts Set up and adjust production machineries/tools Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments Program CNC machine tools Set up machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders
