Job Overview



The Precaster / Labourer plays a vital role in the daily manufacturing of precast concrete products. From initial mold preparation to final finishing, you'll be involved in every stage of the production process. This position requires a strong work ethic, commitment to safety, and the physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks. You will work closely with team leaders, follow detailed technical drawings, and contribute to the delivery of quality products that meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities



Concrete Manufacturing & Finishing



Set up and prepare molds and forms for concrete pours Assemble and place reinforcement, inserts, and hardware as specified in drawings Pour, strip, patch, and finish concrete products according to quality standards Mark products accurately with job details, logos, and customer information Conduct quality inspections before and after pours; complete related documentation

Equipment Operation & Safety



Safely operate tools and equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts (if certified) Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Identify and report hazards or equipment issues to your supervisor immediately Follow all company and industry safety standards and procedures

Team Collaboration



Work efficiently with your assigned team to meet production targets and schedules Communicate clearly with team leads and coworkers to ensure product quality Support a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to quality, safety, and efficiency

Other Duties



Assist with customer site installations as needed Perform general plant cleanup and housekeeping Carry out special assignments or additional tasks as requested by leadership

Skills & Qualifications



Secondary school diploma preferred Experience in construction, agriculture, or manufacturing is an asset Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use measuring tools Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand/power tools Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work in demanding environments Positive attitude, strong attendance record, and a team-oriented mindset Certification in crane or forklift operation is an asset, but not required

Working Conditions and Physical Demands



Physically demanding, hands-on work in a dusty, noisy, and fast-paced plant setting

Regular standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting required throughout the day

Exposure to hot conditions in the summer and cold areas in winter

Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs and use of wheelbarrows over uneven surfaces
