Who we are looking forA technical delivery manager to lead teams of technical consultants implementing the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) for investment, wealth and alternative managers, asset owners and insurers.Why this role is important to usThe team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.Join us if delivering next generation infrastructure, using emerging technologies like AI and Blockchain sounds like a challenge you are up for.What you will be responsible forAs a Practice Manager, you will

• Manage technical implementation engagements; direct teams to strategically and analytically assess client needs by utilizing technical expertise in assessing and identifying solutions which are in alignment with CRD\xe2\x80\x99s current design.
• Ensure project success by managing staffing to optimize utilization, and provide support network to the team to leverage during engagements.
• Partner with recruiting team to identify and hire talent.
• Manage team members including engagement staffing, time and expenses processes, technology and other organizational initiatives. Oversee performance management and coach on deficiencies to ensure objectives achieved.
• Strategically solve problems by recognizing long term solutions across multiple projects.
• Direct and provide guidance to less experienced consultants on implementations and identify opportunities to allocate resources as needed.
• Lead internal initiatives to improve the Professional Services practice.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible client service experience in the Financial / Software Services industry (Financial market information systems background preferred).
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing technical professionals or managing consulting teams strongly preferred.
• A BA/BS degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science strongly preferred.
• Experience deploying solutions to Cloud service providers (Microsoft Azure preferred).
• Advanced knowledge on installation of n-tier software to DR/HA design.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with implementing enterprise software and SaaS based delivery of solutions.
• Detailed knowledge of several of the following technologies: Kafka, gRPC, Snowflake, Tomcat configuration and optimization, N-tier application architecture, SOAP/XML Messaging software (MQ Series, Tibco, MSMQ, Sonic MQ and Open JMS)
• In depth knowledge of at least one of the following RDMBS: MS SQL Server, Oracle.
• Ability to program using Java, C# and Perl.

• Travel up to 25-50% may be required.
• Flexibility with schedule and ability to work beyond regular business hours to meet project deadlines.
