Job Summary

Serves as a senior advisor in planning & performance management (P&PM), providing professional analysis, advise, guidance and leadership in the resolution particularly of complex, cross-functional, non-routine and/or design P&PM and P&PM-related issues that have significant importance to the company. Assigned Risk Professionals plan and coordinate risk management activities in accordance with the Corporate Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical findings & recommendations for regular P&PM tasks such as business plan preparation, performance tracking measurement, and performance analysis and accountability reporting - 20%
  • Conduct special P&PM-related studies such as the development of performance initiatives and business cases, benchmarking, risk management, design and re-design of measurements, processes and workflows, and information system-related changes - 40%
  • Provide supervision, coordination and/or facilitation in the execution of regular and special tasks by other P&PM personnel, as well as mentorship on P&PM analytical practice - 30%
  • For Risk Professionals:
  • Act as the business\'s principal advisor on risk management and guide, support, facilitate, monitor, review and report on risk management activities to ensure that risk management processes are efficient and effective, and integrated into P&PM practices - 40%
  • Assist in identifying gaps in the governance and control environment within the business and in formulating and implementing solutions for gap closure - 20%
  • Review proposals relating to major initiatives in the business to ensure that risk management requirements are appropriately addressed, and assist in and guide the development of risk management training plans - 30%
  • Perform other related staff and analytical duties, as assigned - 10%
  • Identify, assess, and review the strategic and commercial viability of potential identified investment opportunities to improve the overall viability of the system.
Requirements:
  • Willing to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years\' relevant experience is required.
  • For assigned Risk Professionals, a bachelor\'s degree in risk management or a related discipline is required.
  • Certification/License:
  • Internal analytical skills certification, which may be waived with possession of an equivalent professional certification, a relevant graduate degree, and/or significant demonstrable work record in the practice of planning & performance management.
  • Preferred training:
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of management accounting, finance and Excel is required.
  • Demonstrated capability and track record in the practice of planning & performance management that has progressed to a leadership role is required, preferably in the oil or related industry. The incumbent must have the proven ability to handle complex, unstructured problems in a rigorous, analytical fashion. Previous work experience must have been sufficiently broad to allow the incumbent to be effective in an assignment to any P&PM area.
  • Possession of an advanced business degree (e.g., MBA) and/or relevant professional certification (e.g., CMA, CFA, CPA) is preferred.
  • For assigned Risk Professionals, demonstrable knowledge of leading risk management governance and control practices is required. Twelve (12) years of direct risk management-related experience is required. Possession of a relevant professional certification(e.g., IRM,GARP,PRIA) is preferred.
  • Languages:
  • Excellent command of oral & written English, with demonstrated capability of producing top quality written reports & presentations to senior-level audiences.
