About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically driven Field Service Technician with a passion for power systems and continuous learning. In this role, you will lead and support technical activities related to troubleshooting, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of power distribution systems while building strong, professional relationships with our clients.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role that offers a balance of field and office work:

? 70% field work at job sites

? 30% office work for reporting and job preparation

Key Responsibilities

? Work on low, medium, and high-voltage power distribution systems in diverse environments

? Lead and assist in troubleshooting, maintenance testing, and commissioning

? Perform protection relay programming, testing, and troubleshooting

? Design and troubleshoot protection and control logic

? Conduct maintenance testing on circuit breakers, transformers, cables, and related equipment

? Complete medium-voltage cable terminations

? Perform commissioning in accordance with manufacturer and NETA acceptance testing guidelines

? Maintain strong client relationships through professional, courteous communication

? Complete safety documentation and uphold Ener-Phase's strong safety culture

Skills & Experience

? Minimum NETA Level 3 certification

? A minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in roles involving comparable duties and responsibilities.

? Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

? Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office

? AutoCAD experience considered an asset

? Self-motivated with strong initiative and client focus

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

? Energetic, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow technically

? Strong safety awareness and commitment

? Willingness and ability to travel within Western Canada

Education

? Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or Electrical Engineering Degree (asset)

Work Schedule & Travel

? Core hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

? Approximately 30% travel, primarily in and around Calgary, with occasional work in Medicine Hat, Edmonton, and Northern AB/BC

Compensation & Benefits

? $50.00 - $65.00 per hour, depending on experience

? Full-time, permanent position (minimum 40 hours/week)
