We are seeking a highly skilled SCADA Engineer to join our engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems across various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with expertise in system design, firmware development, and signal processing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving FPGA, SoC, PCB design, and automation systems, contributing to the optimization of manufacturing and electrical systems.
Duties
Design and develop SCADA system architecture integrating electrical and mechanical components using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
Implement FPGA and SoC solutions for real-time data acquisition and control processes utilizing SystemVerilog, MATLAB, Simulink, and Python scripting.
Develop firmware for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM-based microcontrollers, Arduino platforms, and vision inspection systems.
Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot system failures or performance issues within electrical systems or signal processing modules.
Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts for control boards using CAD tools; oversee surface mount technology (SMT) soldering processes.
Perform system integration testing, debugging hardware/software interfaces, and validating firmware functionality with tools like ohmmeters and vision inspection systems.
Collaborate on project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of system design milestones while adhering to NEC standards and manufacturing best practices.
Document system design specifications, schematics, firmware codebases (C++, Perl, Python), and test procedures for future reference and compliance.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
Proven experience in electrical systems design, firmware development, signal processing, and automation control within industrial environments.
Hands-on expertise with FPGA development (VHDL/Verilog), PCB design (AutoCAD/Revit), and CAD software such as SolidWorks or MicroStation.
Strong knowledge of system-level debugging using tools like oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and vision inspection systems.
Familiarity with programming languages including C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, Perl scripting for automation tasks.
Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM microcontrollers, Arduino platforms, surface mount technology (SMT), and firmware development.
Knowledge of industry standards such as NEC regulations; ability to perform root cause analysis for complex electrical or mechanical issues.
Mechanical knowledge related to surface mount technology assembly processes or mechanical integration of electrical components is advantageous. This position is ideal for innovative engineers passionate about advancing automation technologies in manufacturing environments while working on diverse projects that challenge technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
