DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for reporting ISO and environmental aspects pertaining to the powerhouse. Completes/assists with annual self audit and other reports as required. Contributes to completing monthly energy reports in a timely manner. Maintains and updates operating procedures and MSDS. Testing and maintenance documentation as assigned for pressure vessel NDT, safety relief valves, backwater flow valves, etc. Maintains maintenance records for boilers, air compressors and other equipment. Monitors proper inventory of water treatment and testing chemicals, lubricants, and spare parts. Active participation in continuous improvement activities. Troubleshoots all powerhouse issues on a pro-active basis. Participates in weekend coverage rotation.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB: (CRITERIA)

3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate (4th Class considered with significant experience/demonstrated progress towards 3rd Class certification). Experience in a powerhouse operation. Knowledge of steam plant operating systems, boiler feedwater treatment and testing, air compressor and vacuum pump systems. Positive attitude. Good attendance record. Good safety record. Current pay rate is: $43.13/hr (3rd Class), $39.18/hr (4th Class.) 7 day/12 hour (continental schedule) consisting of 12 hour shifts with day/night rotation. 42 hour average per week. Night shift premium at $0.90/hr * Employer paid benefits
