Our client, is looking for two Power Engineers to join there team in Langley, BC!

This is a one month contract opportunity with high possibility of extension!

Duties:

• Daily testing of water quality and operation of boilers and chillers
• Refilling softener salt container - 40 lb bags roughly 10 - 15 every other day
• Maintaining mechanical equipment in the mechanical room
• Trouble shooting problems with boilers and chillers
• Cleaning coils for refrigeration equipment which would require washing out,
• brushing could include work above shoulder height
• Changing fans in refrigeration equipment, weighing approx. 15 lb
• Cleaning screens for water supply
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned as required

Supervisory and Safety Duties:

• May exercise supervision over Maintenance Workers or Public Service Workers
• May supervise 1 to 2 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization\'s policies and applicable laws
• Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and resolving problems
• Adheres to the Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective
• Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
• Reports unsafe conditions immediately to the Supervisor
• Reports all incidents, injuries and near misses to the Supervisor immediately
• Cooperates in the Early and Safe Return to Work Program if an injury or medical illness requires accommodation
