We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Power BI Developer to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions that deliver clear insights into product management, inventory, operations, sales, repairs & returns, and customer behaviour. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative insights and optimize data workflows using a variety of programming languages and platforms.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the overseas Business Analyst to design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Connect to various data sources (SQL databases, Excel, cloud systems, APIs) and build efficient ETL processes.
Optimize DAX calculations and Power Query (M) transformations to ensure performance and accuracy.
Implement row-level security, governance standards, and comprehensive documentation for BI assets.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all reporting outputs.
Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Work closely with IT and data teams to improve the BI environment and ensure scalability.
Maintain documentation of technical specifications and workflows for ongoing support and enhancements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Power BI report development and data modeling.
Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), data warehousing concepts, and SQL (intermediate to advanced).
Experience connecting Power BI to data sources such as SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and APIs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in retail, e?commerce, or inventory analytics.
Knowledge of Azure tools (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
Experience with Python or R for data analysis (asset, not required).
Strong understanding of data governance and BI best practices.
