Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Poultry Worker to join our agricultural team. This role involves working in a farm environment to support poultry operations, ensuring the health and safety of the birds, and maintaining efficient farm processes. We also raise beef cattle and sheep, and produce hay from our fields. The position offers an opportunity to work in a hands-on setting with a focus on animal care and farm machinery management and will include property maintenance.

Duties

Assist with the daily care and feeding of poultry, cattle and sheep, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration. Monitor animal health and report any signs of illness or distress to supervisors. Operate farm machinery and equipment safely, including feeders, waterers, and cleaning tools. Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of poultry and livestock housing and equipment to maintain hygiene standards. Assist with property maintenance and other farm-related tasks as needed. Support in the maintenance and minor repairs of farm machinery, applying basic mechanical knowledge. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting and machinery operation.

Requirements

Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often lifting loads up to 50 pounds. Basic mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery is preferred but not required. Experience working with farm machinery or in agricultural settings is a plus. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures diligently. Prior experience in farming or agriculture is advantageous but not required. Must be able to work independently much of the time, but also work as part of a team when needed.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
