Position Summary
The Peter Munk Cardiac Centre (PMCC) Artificial Intelligence (AI) Team includes dedicated AI scientists that partner with data engineers and clinician-researchers to apply machine learning approaches that identify novel relationships in large data sets. The goal is to define new hypotheses in both basic science and clinical research.
We are looking to hire a post-doctoral research fellow to work under the co-supervision of our lead AI scientist (Dr. Bo Wang) and Clinician Scientist (Dr. Slava Epelman) to use AI methods to solve complex cardiovascular and other health-status related questions. The fellow will collaborate with clinicians within the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre and other investigators to analyze and interpret various data modalities such as imaging, clinical EMR, signal processing, and single cell genomic data. The fellow will possess strong technical proficiency, creativity, and strong collaborative skills to contribute towards furthering AI capacity within PMCC and UHN. The successful candidate will also receive training and mentorship in key developmental areas. These areas include grant writing, manuscript review, supervision of trainees, and conference travel and networking opportunities.
