A post-doctoral position is immediately available to study the biogenesis and role of lipid droplets in neurodegenerative diseases, as part of a collaborative project between the laboratories of Dr. Simonetta Sipione and Dr. Richard Lehner, at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.

Responsibilities:
Eligible candidates will be involved in an exciting area of research with clinical relevance.
The project will be developed with a multidisciplinary approach involving the use of biochemical, molecular, cell biology and neurobiology techniques.
Qualifications:

• Candidates must be within 0-48 months of completing their PhD degree in a discipline related to biomedical research
• Demonstrated scientific productivity and a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed publications in international journals
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Strong background in cell biology and biochemistry
