| Dr. Sherry Stewart\'s lab is looking for a Postdoctoral fellow to collaborate with partner researchers and organizations in the conduct of the UniVenture project. The UniVenture project is a targeted wellness program to address heavy drinking, other substance misuse, and student mental health on 5 Canadian campuses. The multi-site UniVenture research project is being led by Dr. Sherry Stewart (Project Director [PD]) out of the MAAC Lab at Dalhousie University in Halifax. .

| Reporting directly to the PD, the Postdoctoral Fellow will work with UniVenture Project university partners and students to ensure standardized organization and delivery of the Univenture project across all 5 Canadian sites. The postdoctoral fellow will also have the opportunity to work closely with one of the partners, Injury Free Nova Scotia [IFNS], to advance a UniVenture sub-project focused on whether and how the targeted wellness program reduces risk taking and injury among undergraduates.

Key Responsibilities:

o Coordination of the multi-site Univenture project from the Halifax site including: standardized organization and delivery of the Univenture program, data collection and management across all 5 sites
o Leading and effectively managing research collaboration between the MAAC Lab and IFNS o Oversee timelines and assist with timely completion of implementation goals at each Univenture site, support communication between sites, recording minutes for all meetings, report to funding agencies.
o Help supervise Research Assistants and students working on the Univenture Project o Prepare and coordinate primary ethical approval and support individual study site applications to local Research Ethics Boards (REBs)
o Prepare manuscripts for publication, and present results at scientific conferences. o Support development of data collection protocols and tools; support and ensure standardized data collection, management and analysis practices across both organizations.
o Attend regular Univenture team meetings, MAAC Lab meetings, and meetings with IFNS partner organization
o Opportunities available for extra paid teaching and/or for clinical activity to work toward professional registration (clinical psychology)
o Applicant must successfully apply for funding through Mitacs; will be assisted in this task by PD; a 2-year Accelerate position is attached to the SSHRC PEG (guaranteed quick review); applicant may chose to apply for Elevate for second year
Qualifications/Requirements of Position

Recent PhD in a field within Health or Social Sciences is required with a clinical psychology PhD an asset. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated experience in peer reviewed publication. Experience working in a research environment managing multi-site projects is important. Must have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of a dynamic team and possess excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills. A working knowledge of SPSS and Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word is required. Candidate should be proactive with an ability to manage tight deadlines and work efficiently with a minimum of supervision. Bilingualism is an asset. Some travel within Canada may be required.
Salary Range/Pay Rate $45,000 per annum (Mitacs Accelerate) to $60,000 per annum (Mitacs Elevate)
