Postdoctoral Scholar in Hydrological Modelling

.

The incumbent plans, organizes, and conducts research under the supervision of the principal investigator. The successful applicant will evaluate alternative large-domain multi-model configurations of the NextGen WRM frameworklarge-domain hydrologic models on the basis of both scientific validity and operational feasibility Collaborate with the principal investigator on analyzing, and data for publication in professional journals. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of research performance through effective sharing and discussions of ideas in a highly collaborative environment that includes industrial and government partners.

The position of is a

full-time

appointment, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Flexible work hours and remote working arrangements are possible to accommodate critical deadlines.

Qualifications:



PhD Degree (Environmental) Experience with programming in Fortran and Python. Experience with collaborative model development using GitHub. Experience with processing large datasets. Experience with high performance computing capabilities. The candidate will demonstrate strong communication, analytical and organizational skills. Intermediate skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access Knowledge of University core business systems is desirable A positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are critical to success Have a track record in peer reviewed publications in leading journals.
