Post Secondary Education Summer Student Administrator

Overview:
The Summer Student Administrator role is for
a student currently enrolled in post secondary education with a plan on returning in the Fall
and will be responsible and accountable for providing a range of clerical assistance with a high degree of professionalism, organization, time management, and confidentiality.

This employment opportunity has been partially funded by the Federal Government Canada Summer Jobs Program. Eligible participants must meet the following criteria:
a) Is between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
b) Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
c) Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/ territorial legislation and regulations. International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
Create and maintain files in accordance with specific standards and protocols;
Ascertain that information is properly maintained and updated as required;
Perform administrative/office activities related to data collection, customer service and finance;
Foster a team environment and create a "group culture;"
Drive and maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity;
To accomplish any other tasks that may be assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience:
First or second year student of a post secondary education school with plans on returning in the Fall;
1 or more years of progressive work experience in an administrative role;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook;
Strong working knowledge of Dropbox, Adobe Suite applications would be considered an asset;
Excellent research, quantitative and analytical skills, including a confident grasp on map reading and direction;
Ability to prioritize and reorganize daily tasks while demonstrating rigorous attention to detail and accuracy;
Excellent spelling and grammar skills;
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while communicating effectively with various personalities while maintaining a positive and amiable attitude;
Motivated to learn new skills and adapt to change in order to support the growth of the organization and meet needs of clients.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
Stratford, PE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
