Your primary responsibility as a Portfolio Analyst will be to implement different equity strategies for private clients (CIBC Private Investment Counsel) as well as for institutional clients (CIBC Asset Management), and preparing various reports necessary to support this function. To be successful in this role, you will need to be detail-oriented and to be able to work well in a team setting, while also being adaptable to different reporting requests and varying workloads.

How you’ll succeed:
Implementing trades - Execute equity rebalancing and strategic programs in Bloomberg based on internal and third party models. Make sure accounts are pre-trade compliant, and adjust trading programs when there is a breach. Using post-trade compliance reports, justify account breaches and discuss corrective actions with the Portfolio Manager.
Generating reports - Produce various daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly reports and ensure that reports are accurate and released within respective timelines. These reports are used by portfolio managers, traders, compliance officers, performance analysts, and other internal and external parties.
Supporting Ad-hoc trading request - Respond to special trading scenarios from internal clients such as the portfolio managers for CAM, or equivalently the servicing managers for CPIC (i.e. tax loss selling, trading simulations).
Collaborating with different teams - Work closely with the Trading Desk in relation to queries they might have for the trading programs they received. Interact with the Global Operation Teams for both CPIC and CGAM in relation to the incumbent getting information on corporate action processing and other entries posted in the client accounts. From time to time, respond to information requests from other internal teams such as compliance, audit, and performance.
