Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting portable units to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery as well as servicing these units weekly in a timely manner. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service, as you will be the face of our company during deliveries. The Route Driver will also be expected to do heavy lifting daily for short periods of time throughout a day.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver products to designated locations. Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any inquiries or issues during their service Eg: Portable unable to service due to tree fallen in route path. Must have the physical dexterity to lift upwards 50 pounds for short periods of time Able to make conscious decisions to travel or not travel through road conditions. Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage. Maintain cleanliness of the portable units, and identifying when a unit needs cleaning or to be restocked with toilet paper and handsanitizer. Daily removal of waste from Portable Toilets. Wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves etc.

Experience

Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred, with a valid driver's license suitable for the vehicle class being operated. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Must have the physical dexterity to lift upwards 50 pounds for short periods of time A background in moving or logistics is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of the delivery process and customer expectations.

Skills/Requirements:

G Driver's License Clean Drivers Abstract Must be comfortable working outdoors in differing weather conditions Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good understanding on how to operate a cellphone application to perform the required task. Knowledge of the Muskoka area Must have the physical dexterity to lift upwards 50 pounds for short periods of time Prior customer service experience considered an asset Good time management skills
