Job Description

You will set the example, pace and enthusiastic, energetic attitude of the staff at our resort pool facilities. You will ensure the safe, guest-oriented operation of the pools, hot tubs, waterslides and sauna. You will oversee the coordination, budgeting, scheduling, documentation, daily supervision and on-going training and development of staff. You will ensure all policies and procedures regarding the operation of the pool facility are adhered to.



Essential Functions:



Train and oversee pool maintenance, lifeguards and towel attends. Motivate, develop, and evaluate staff. Provide fair guidance while ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Follow and adhere to the Opening, Ongoing and Closing procedures and responsibilities that will be outlined and provided during training. Inspect day-to-day operation in compliance with regulatory requirements and deliver the highest degree of safety and service. Ensure all working safety standards are followed and provide immediate response to guest and management requests. Think quickly and react effectively in crisis or problem situations. Work cohesively with other managers to ensure proper and safe conduct of all pool users. Monitor the Pool Lobby/Locker Rooms/Deck Area for dangerous situations, cleanliness, and potential problems. Provide exemplary customer service, be aware of Panorama events, coordinate and conduct activities as required. Responsible for keeping the chemical and supplies inventory and distribution to the required areas. Identify and remedy any shortfalls regarding pool conditions or staffing. Conduct preventive maintenance and small repairs in all aspects of Hot Tub/Pool mechanical equipment and hand tools. Ensure all pool area grounds are cleaned to the highest standard prior to opening the pools.

Experience/Requirements:



Previous experience supervising a pool facility required. Ideally will have NLS or Bronze Cross certification and standard CPR/First Aid training. 2 yrs experience related to Hot tub/Pool care and maintenance an asset. Pool Operator level 1 certificate preferred. Must be able to use basic hand tools. Mechanically inclined Must have valid drivers license. * Please note if lifeguarding and operator courses have not been attained, will aid with course enrollment and re-imbursement.
