Position:

Class 1 Pneumatic Bulker Driver-Lease Operator

Commensurate with experience

Duties and Responsibilities

Operate tractor and pneumatic trailer to transport dried bulk salt and cement powder throughout Western Canada

Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods

Preform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories

Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods

Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices

Will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Will be required to work away from home for extended periods of time

Must be willing to stay in a bunk truck unit while working away from home

Qualifications

Class 1 Driver's License with clean abstract

Must have own unit that is compliant with CVIP requirements

Pneumatic experience is preferred

Must have a minimum of 2 year Class 1 driving and Superb-B experience

Map reading/LSD

Strong mechanical aptitude

Demonstrated organizational skills, time management techniques, and a strong work ethic

Ability to work with little supervision in a professional manor

Good depth perception and manual dexterity
