Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick (Hybrid / Onsite as required)
Travel Requirement: Ability to travel for face-to-face meetings within New Brunswick
Duration: 840 Business Days
Standard Hours per day: 7.5
The Senior Project Manager will play a key leadership role in delivering large-scale digital health initiatives within the province of New Brunswick. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex IM/IT and eHealth projects, particularly those involving enterprise-level systems such as the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) and master data management components.
The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic objectives. Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years of recent and relevant experience in a Senior Project Manager role.
  • Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience in the digital health / eHealth domain within a Canadian jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 12 years of IM/IT experience across complex technology environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects directly impacting Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) and master data management components.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technology projects within eHealth/digital health, preferably in a Canadian jurisdiction.
  • Strong skills and experience in communication planning, coordination, and implementation, including presentations to internal, external, and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in establishing and supporting project governance to ensure effective oversight, guidance, decision-making, and approvals.
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex projects spanning multiple business units and organizations, involving numerous project participants and extended timelines.
  • Expertise in project monitoring, control, and execution, including planning, scheduling, reporting, quality management, issue/risk management, change control, implementation, and transition to operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and oversee teams of IT specialists on complex technology projects.
  • Strong background in vendor and contract governance and management to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes and benefits.
  • Familiarity with data security, confidentiality, and client privacy requirements under New Brunswick's Personal Health Information Privacy and Access Act (PHIPAA).
  • Recognized Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) - include certification and renewal date if applicable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to travel within New Brunswick for in-person meetings as required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of digital health and IM/IT projects.
  • Establish and maintain effective project governance structures.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams, vendors, and external partners.
  • Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Drive alignment between technical teams, business units, and executive sponsors.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, standards, and privacy regulations (PHIPAA).
  • Provide regular progress reports and updates to leadership and governance bodies.
  • Facilitate project transition to operational support upon completion.
