Dock Worker

Job Summary

Assist our inbound and outbound teams to unload and load trucks and trailers with LTL freight of all descriptions, maintain dock cleanliness, assist in finding freight for dispatch and deal with customers picking up items. Must be safety-oriented with excellent attention to detail.

Work Schedule and Location:

Monday to Friday; 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Duties and Responsibilities

Load and unload LTL trailers Scanning barcodes on freight with handheld device Weigh and cube freight as necessary Some hand bomb is required depending on freight General warehouse duties such as cleaning, sweeping, etc

What the successful candidate will bring

Experience operating a forklift in a high-traffic space required Attention to detail is a must Reliable attendance is a must Professional attitude in all interactions when on shift Follow policy and procedures Transportation experience an asset Experience handling dangerous goods preferred Experience loading/unloading flat deck freight is an asset Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs Ready to work in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment

Compensation & Benefits:

Hiring wage $23/hour to start Comprehensive benefits package available including pension matching program upon successful completion of probationary period
