Plumbing Foreman
to join our team and lead large-scale commercial site crews.
Position Overview
As a Plumbing Foreman, you will oversee all plumbing activities on commercial job sites, managing a crew of
10-15 plumbers and apprentices
. You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and technical expertise in commercial plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Management:
Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of 10-15 plumbers/apprentices on commercial construction sites.
Project Execution:
Coordinate daily activities, assign tasks, and ensure work aligns with project plans, specifications, and deadlines.
Quality Control:
Inspect work for compliance with plumbing codes, safety standards, and company expectations.
Scheduling & Coordination:
Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and other trades to maintain smooth workflow and meet milestones.
Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve technical or crew-related issues promptly to minimize delays.
Training & Mentorship:
Provide hands-on guidance to apprentices and journeymen, fostering growth and skill development.
Safety Oversight:
Enforce and monitor compliance with health and safety protocols on-site.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of progress, materials used, and daily reports.
Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact between the crew, project management, and site leadership.
Qualifications
Red Seal Journeyman Plumber (or equivalent certification).
5+ years of experience
as a Plumbing Foreman or Lead Hand on commercial projects.
Proven ability to
manage crews of 10-15 people
effectively.
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, blueprints, and specifications for commercial construction.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and resolve conflicts on-site.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
