Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in plumbing systems, providing a foundation for a rewarding career in the trades. The Apprentice Plumber will work under the supervision of experienced plumbers to develop essential skills, gain practical knowledge, and contribute to various plumbing projects. Candidates should have a strong interest in mechanical systems and construction, with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Duties

Assist licensed plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing projects Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively under supervision Measure and cut pipes using appropriate tools, ensuring accurate assembly according to specifications Support the installation of fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and other plumbing components Perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot basic plumbing issues Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times Participate in training sessions on blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and system troubleshooting

Skills

Basic mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems and construction processes Familiarity with carpentry, or general construction is a plus Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment used in plumbing work Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately Strong math skills for measurements and calculations required during installation and repairs Good understanding of assembly processes for piping systems and fixtures Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a team environment Commitment to safety standards and continuous learning in the trade
