PLUMBER/ GASFITTER

ABOUT THE POSITION

Nahanni Construction Ltd. is accepting resumes for the position of Service Plumber/Gas Fitter to work at various Yellowknife Jobs sites. The successful candidates will work on a rotational schedule, staying in a work camp environment. The rotation will be a two (2) weeks on / two (2) weeks off schedule. The rotation is subject to change based on organizational requirements.

SCOPE

Looking for team players with a drive for success and several years experience to join our team to perform construction and service work for our commercial, residential and industrial clients.

Installation/service furnaces/boiler units Installation, repairs and diagnosis of propane gas systems. Locating leaks, tears, blockages, corrosion, and weather damage in water and HVAC systems. Fixing issues in water and HVAC systems by repairing or replacing equipment. Installing pipes and appropriate fixtures to ensure adequate drainage. Consulting with clients to identify and address any other concerns related to their water and HVAC systems. Advising clients on appropriate care for their water and HVAC systems

REQUIREMENTS

Journeyman Certificate (Preferred). Experienced plumbers/gasfitters with 5+ years experience in a commercial setting (preferred) Goal oriented and has attention to detail. Valid drivers license. Ability to lift 50 lbs or more. Has own trade tools. Clean drivers abstract. 1st to 4th year apprentices will be considered

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Nahanni is an open-shop Contractor that provides competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Compensation is dependent on experience. Nahanni pays for, and books travel to and from the project site. In addition, employees are entitled to a rotational travel allowance.
