Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing/fitting in commercial and industrial plants, along with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on various projects that include installations, remodeling, and assembly tasks. The Fitter will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

Work - GTAA, Commercial, Industrial, Plants Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, threading, and assembling pipes Perform plumbing tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion Conduct heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations

Requirements

Must have 15 years of experience in commercial and industrial plumbing projects

Must have a relevant certificate or qualifications Must be able to work in Ontario Valid Ontario Driver's License Criminal Record Check required for job sites Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus Strong mechanical knowledge Experience with pipe threading and assembly processes Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Comfortable performing heavy lifting as part of daily responsibilities Previous construction site experience preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
