ZMP Plumbing and Excavation is a locally owned and operated company based out of Truro, Nova Scotia, serving Truro and immediate surrounding areas. We strive to focus on new residential and small commercial plumbing and we are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team.

A Journeyperson, 4th, 3rd, or 2nd year apprentice would be the ideal candidate. Must have a strong background in plumbing systems including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires proficiency with hand tools and the ability to read schematics effectively. The Plumber will work on various projects, ensuring that all plumbing systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and small commercial settings. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems would be considered an asset. Use hand tools and power tools to perform plumbing tasks such as cutting, fitting, and welding pipes. Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues during service calls. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and HVAC technicians, to complete projects efficiently. Perform heavy lifting as needed to install or remove plumbing fixtures and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plumber; Journeyperson, 4th, 3rd, or 2nd year apprentice. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to plumbing tasks. Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating necessary materials. A valid driving license is preferred for transporting materials to job sites. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Wage

Competitive wage will be offered based upon qualifications/experience.
