This job would be ideal for the candidate that:

Is a Journeyperson Plumber and licensed class "B" gas fitter that has at least 3 years experience as a journeyperson/ foreperson in service plumbing

Has a good understanding of mechanical plumbing systems. HVAC and Sprinkler systems an asset but not required.

Has a good understanding of the current plumbing code.

Strong communication skills.

Practices safe work.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems, in-floor and radiant heating systems, and on-demand hot water systems/combi-boilers.

Perform preventive maintenance inspections.

Checks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, pumps, pipes and other functional components of the system.

Knowledge and experience with drain cleaning and camera inspection tool experience, as well as roll grooving and threading pipe.

Sewer and water repairs and replacements.

Septic system knowledge and installation experience an asset.

Maintenance and repair of storm and sewer lift pumps.

Rough-in new residential/commercial plumbing systems.

Qualifications:

Interprovincial Journeyman Red-Seal in 1 or more trades, Plumber and Gasfitter.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of building trades is required.

Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a clean & tidy work environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as time management and organizational skills.

Renovation and new build experience is an asset.

License/Certification:

Valid class 5 driver's license (required)

Plumber Red Seal (required)

Gas B License (preferred)

Cross-connections (preferred)

You must be living in Canada and possess a valid work permit - no out of country applicants please.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
