We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our team as a Service Technician in our new service and maintenance division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong service background and a comprehensive understanding of plumbing, gas fitting, hydronic heating installations.
Responsibilities
Work independently as a reliable service technician with systems and support from management and co workers.
Perform emergency plumbing, gas, and hydronic heating service calls when required based on priority scheduling.
Perform regular plumbing, gas, and hydronic heating maintenance work to our growing preferred customer list.
Perform service related tasks including water heater and boiler maintenance, drain cleaning and clearing, water and gas leak repairs, system winterizations, system inspections, camera inspections, plumbing fixture replacements, and other minor diagnostic work.
Communicate with customers in a professional yet relatable manner to help educate and establish relationships of trust.
Manage and oversee efficient service job scheduling according the the weekly needs of our customers.
Promote our company culture and values through positive attitude, team collaboration, and trade stoke.
Skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage your weekly workflows.
Experience in the plumbing service industry.
Knowledge of plumbing, gas, and hydronic heating systems and provincial mechanical building codes.
HVAC service and knowledge of forced air equipment is a bonus but not required.
Outside the box thinking for resourceful problem solving.
Adaptability to handle schedule changes, variable working hours, and emergency service calls.
Communication abilities to coordinate, inform, and educate our customers as well as our suppliers and equipment support technicians.
A valid BC drivers license and the ability to drive company work vehicles.
Basic technical abilities to use our company customer management and time tracking apps.
Willingness to learn and grow as an individual tradesperson through weekly/monthly goal setting, accountability, and training opportunities.
