We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber/ Hydronic Technician to join our new construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in hydronic systems and plumbing systems, along with additional skills in mechanical knowledge, HVAC, and construction. This role involves installing and commissioning complete hydronic heating systems connected with central boiler plants or district energy for multi-family apartment and light commercial applications, ensuring safety and compliance with building codes. The Plumber will lead a team, manage multiple projects, work on diverse projects that require technical expertise, physical stamina, and attention to detail to deliver quality workmanship.
Duties
Install plumbing systems.
Install hydronic heating systems in multi-family applications.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute plumbing/heating layouts accurately
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation or repair tasks
Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks or system failures and troubleshoot issues efficiently
Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper assembly of heating components within larger building projects
Apply basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations
Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, working at heights, or working with hazardous materials
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety regulations on-site
Experience
Proven experience in hydronic heating installation and repair within commercial or multi-family residential settings
Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, carpentry, and schematics reading is highly desirable
Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic diagrams for complex plumbing and heating layouts
Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment is required
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods
Prior experience with construction projects involving assembly and schematics interpretation is required.
Valid driver's license for commercial driving may be advantageous but not mandatory
Familiarity with CAD and POS layout software is preferred.
