We are seeking a Plumber for our various remote Canadian project locations!

Job Requirements:

MATRIX is looking for an experienced

Journeyperson Plumber

that is team oriented, adaptable, highly motivated, with acute attention for details. You will play a key role at our remote camps by supporting the team to complete construction of a these camps. This position reports to the Team Lead and/or Camp Manager.

This position will be working in various locations at our remote camps.

Responsibilities

Perform plumbing and general maintenance to gas appliances and lines Maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, drinking water treatment and distribution system Practice and promote company environmental, health, safety, and operational policies and procedures Maintain a daily log of activities and system logs as required Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor which may include duties and labour outside the trade(s) Work cooperatively as a member of the Team Ensure that safety issues are reported and promptly remedied Demonstrate safety leadership within a team environment and promote environmental awareness in all work or task-related duties Maintain a high standard of performance in your duties Other duties may be assigned from time to time as required by the Company.

Required Knowledge & Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years working in a construction field/camp position.

Certified Journeyman Plumber (Red Seal)

Gasfitter "B" ticket

HVAC and/or Refrigeration experience or certification is a definite asset to the position Solid verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work a rotation schedule and a dynamic schedule. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor. Ability to maintain a high level of performance over a 10 - 12 hour shift.

Preferred Licensing & Certifications:

Standard First Aid Certification. WHIMS Certification. Previous experience working in remote camp setting. Proficient in all aspects of plumbing repair and replacement.
