Responsibilities:

Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations and testing of new tower and existing Hospital plumbing systems and plumbing fixtures. Performs preventative maintenance on plumbing system. Modifies piping systems as required. Strict adherence to all applicable codes, standards, regulations and procedures as they apply to Healthcare Facilities. Completes work orders in a timely manner with accurate documentation of work performed in a computerized maintenance system. Performs all duties in safe and effective manner. Carries out duties as a member of the hospital fire team. Provides verbal or written reports as required. Completes other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must possess a valid Certificate of Qualification (Ontario License) Plumber. Additional Certificate of Qualification in a related field is an advantage. Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a licensed Plumber in a Facilities maintenance role is required. Hospital experience is preferred. Additional mechanical experience would be an asset. Knowledge of all applicable codes, standards, guidelines and procedures. Available for overtime including call backs, as required. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal required. Demonstrated reliable attendance and punctuality.
