We are currently seeking a Software Development Specialist with PL/SQL Application Development experience to join our team in Victoria, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).

How You\'ll Help Us:

As a PL/SQL Application Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining applications. You will use your wide array of Oracle application development knowledge to provide support to our clients. If you are interested in developing, supporting and modernizing a suite of enterprise database applications and are solution driven, you will be a great fit for our team. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with a talented project team and our clients to design, build and evolve their business.

Once you are here, you will:

Leverage your PL/SQL skills to develop new and support existing database applications.

Develop, maintain, and modernize Oracle forms, reports, and database objects.

Work in a large team to triage and coordinate development activities.

Manage project workloads, schedules, scope, and deadlines to eliminate constraints and ensure that customer needs and project metrics are met.

Provide timely periodic status reporting updates on development estimates and progress updates.

Work in a team environment providing high-quality feedback and review of other team members\' work Identify, recommend, and implement standardization and industry best practices.

Overcome project obstacles with ease and escalate quickly when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

5+ years of experience in developing Oracle PL/SQL scripts to produce packages, procedures, functions, and other objects.

5+ years of experience programming Oracle forms and reports

5+ years working in a fast-paced IT consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to debug and tune long running queries.

Experience working on Agile team using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, GitHub, SVN etc.

Comfortable working in an application managed services (AMS) role

Experience with Oracle Restful Data Services (ORDS), Adobe LifeCycle Forms and Adobe Experience Manager

Experience with Java Development, including Spring Boot, Restful and SOAP APIs

Experience with Application Deployment/Management in OpenShift

Experience working with tools such as PL/SQL Developer, TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer

Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills, with strong ability to quickly learn and comprehend business processes and problems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present technical information to all audience members (project team and client)

Exhibits critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently or in a group setting and meet deadlines.
