PLSC 260 Teaching AssistantIn the appointment of Teaching Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:
Preparation of laboratory materials for students including weed, plant disease and insect demonstration material, preparing and delivering pre-laboratory lectures, setting up experiments, and preparing these for the Canvas learning platform.
Consultation with students using discussion boards, video meetings or email, and/or holding office hours
Providing feedback to students and marking laboratory assignments and exams
Invigilating exams

Minimum of a B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Biological Sciences and registration in a graduate program is required.
We are seeking three teaching assistants. For at least one position, preference will be given to students with a graduate program focused on plant pathology and/or students with a strong background in pathology. We are actively seeking out someone with this expertise to round out our teaching assistant team.
