Overview

We are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to efficiently clear snow and ice from designated roadways, parking lots, and walkways during winter months. The ideal candidate will have experience operating snow removal equipment and possess a strong work ethic to ensure safety and accessibility during inclement weather conditions. This role is vital for maintaining safe environments for the community and business operations.

Duties

Operate snow plow trucks and related machinery to remove snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and sidewalks Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plowing equipment to ensure optimal functionality Apply salt or other de-icing materials as needed to prevent ice formation Monitor weather conditions to prepare for upcoming snowfalls and plan routes accordingly Communicate effectively with team members regarding work progress and safety concerns Ensure all work areas are cleared efficiently while adhering to safety standards Assist with minor repairs using hand tools, power tools, or mechanical knowledge when necessary Maintain detailed records of work completed and materials used during each shift

Experience

Prior experience operating snowplow trucks or similar heavy machinery is preferred Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance of plowing equipment is advantageous Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in equipment repair or general maintenance is beneficial Experience in outdoor maintenance or municipal road work will be considered an asset
This position requires physical stamina, the ability to work in cold weather conditions, and a commitment to safety. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team during winter storms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
