  • Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment
  • Provide light maintenance and routine service to equipment
  • Operates equipment, hand tools and lifts heavy items (up to 50 pounds)
  • Reads underground utility locates and ensures safe digging practices are always being adhered to
  • Maintains a healthy and safe work environment for the crew, the public, the customer, and Ledcor
Qualifications:
  • Plow experience is preferred (Vermeer or Bron brand)
  • Experience operating a skid steer, mini excavator, and / or back hoe is an asset
  • Must have a valid class 3 license with air brake
  • Must be able to provide a clean driver\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s abstract
  • 2+ years of experience in Heavy Equipment operation
  • Must successfully complete a pre-access drug and alcohol screening
  • Experience with safely operating a variety of large and small power equipment, light vehicles and properly tow/back-up trailers.
  • Must have up-to date safety tickets (Ground Disturbance Level 2, WHMIS 2015)
Work Conditions:
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
  • Some travel will be required to site and/or other office locations
  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions
