Job Description

Intel\'s Programable Solutions Group is seeking a Hardware Security Architect with FIPS 140 Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) experience. The qualified candidate will be familiar with all aspects of the development of products that must achieve CMVP certification.; The candidate shall have experience in defining, developing, or validating products with security content that combine hardware and firmware elements.; The preferred candidate will have a strong working knowledge of the FIPS 140-3 specification, experience working with products that progress through both CAVP certification for algorithms and entropy sources, and with products undergoing CMVP certification. ;Job responsibilities include: performing architecture, design and implementation reviews to ensure the product will be capable of achieving CMVP certification; creation and maintenance of required documents that support the CAVP, Entropy Source and CMVP certification activities; managing communications between Intel, Customers, and the 3rd party labs during the CMVP process. Additional responsibilities include: close tracking of any changes that are made to the CMVP, especially as it evolves to incorporate support for post-quantum computing cryptographic algorithms, and communications to the development team regarding the details of such algorithm implementations that are essential to FIPS and NIST compliance; developing project timelines for CAVP, and CMVP certifications; training of other Intel team members on the requirements implicit and explicit within FIPS 140-3 and the associated implementation guidance documents.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field with 12+ years of relevant experience or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience 8+ years of experience working on hardware security Preferred Qualifications: Experience defining products that were designed to achieved FIPS CMVP certification Experience in FPGA

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
