To strengthen our architectural and operational capacity, we are seeking a senior Platform Architect with deep expertise in system architecture and DevOps to work alongside our Chief Architect.

Our Chief Architect defines the long-term technology vision, platform architecture, and innovation strategy across products. This role exists to support, extend, and operationalize that vision through strong architectural execution, DevOps leadership, and hands-on technical contribution.

The Role

As a Platform Architect (Architecture & DevOps), you will work directly with the Chief Architect to translate architectural direction into reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient systems. You will help own technical decision-making, cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and engineering standards across projects.

This is a senior, hands-on technical role. You will review code, guide developers, design and validate architectures, support complex environments, and ensure our platforms are production-ready. While you will mentor senior engineers, this is not a people management role.

Responsibilities

Architecture Support

> Translate technical vision into execution, maintain documentation, and enforce standards.

Code & Reviews

> Perform code reviews across Node.js, React, GraphQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and C# WinUI.

Cloud & DevOps

> Manage deployments on AWS and Azure (CodePipeline, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, Load Balancers, VPC, EC2, SQS, Fargates, Lambdas, Elemental Media Converter, peering connection), Terraform.

Realtime & Networking

> Support WebSockets, Pusher, and local network integrations.

Prototyping

> Build PoCs quickly in React, C#, or Python to validate ideas with clients.

AI in Practice

> Leverage AI tools for coding assistance, code reviews, and automation.

Problem Solving

> Identify risks, propose solutions, and optimize infrastructure costs and performance.

Communication & Collaboration

> Work closely with the Chief Architect to ensure clarity across teams.

Business Alignmen

t > Collaborate with product and leadership teams to ensure technical solutions drive business outcomes.

Team Mentorship

> Support and mentor senior engineers, helping them grow into future leaders.

Qualifications

12 to 15+ years of professional experience in software engineering. Proven experience with cloud-native applications, CI/CD pipelines, and system design. Deep expertise in system architecture, cloud-native applications, and security best practices. Hands-on expertise with modern full-stack technologies including Node.js, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB, C#, and Python Ability to balance long-term architecture with short-term execution. Strong understanding of business context and ability to ramp up quickly on new projects Experience in real-time systems (sockets, streaming, networking). Exposure to AI/ML tools or frameworks. Excellent leadership, mentoring, clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-moving, multicultural team.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $65.00-$75.00 per hour
