Roechling Industrial is an industrial plastics manufacturer located in Orangeville Ontario.

We are seeking several skilled and detail-oriented Plastics Extrusion Machine Technicians to join our manufacturing team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.

Duties

The Plastics Extrusion Set Up Technicians are responsible for the setup and operation of extrusion lines machinery that shapes plastic raw material into a continuous, fixed profile. This role involves configuring machine settings, monitoring the production process, and ensuring the final product meets precise specifications. The operator's primary function is to transform raw materials into finished forms such as rods, or sheets.

Working closely with quality control and maintenance teams, the Extrusion Operator plays a role in maintaining production efficiency and quality. They make real-time adjustments to temperature, speed, and pressure to correct deviations and ensure consistency in the output. This position requires a blend of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Responsible for set up, tear down, change overs, adjustments etc.

Conduct quality inspections, meeting standards, using calipers, micrometers and gauges and other precision measurement tools to meet product specifications

Perform assembly tasks as needed to support production flow

Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge for routine maintenance and repairs

Assist in setup, calibration, and changeover of machines to maximize efficiency

Qualifications

High School, GED or equivalent experience Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce Proven experience with manufacturing machinery, machining processes, or related fields Familiarity with programmable automation systems Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and basic math skills for measurements and calculations Ability to perform quality inspections using calipers and other precision instruments Prior experience with machine set up within a manufacturing environment Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting / meeting deadlines

Continental Shift Work Rotation - 84 hours biweekly, rotating days and nights - 4 week turnaround

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.19-$31.47 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
