Overview

We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in various plastering techniques. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Plasterer will be responsible for applying plaster, stucco, and other materials to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and professional finish.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for plaster application by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring they are free of debris. Mix plaster and other materials according to specifications for optimal application. Apply plaster to walls and ceilings using trowels, brushes, or spray equipment. Smooth out surfaces to achieve a uniform finish while ensuring adherence to project specifications. Perform caulking tasks as needed to seal joints and gaps in plastered areas. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and painters to ensure project timelines are met. Read blueprints and project plans to understand the scope of work required. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting, carpentry, or maintenance person roles is preferred. Strong knowledge of plastering techniques and materials. Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed instructions. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy materials. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
