We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying plaster and related materials to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Duties
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed before plastering.
Mix plaster and other materials according to project requirements.
Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using trowels, brushes, or spray equipment.
Ensure smooth, even finishes by skillfully leveling and shaping plastered surfaces.
Perform caulking around windows, doors, and joints to ensure proper sealing.
Read blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute projects according to specifications.
Assist with carpentry tasks such as framing or installing support structures when necessary.
Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols throughout all phases of work.
Collaborate with other construction professionals including painters, carpenters, and handymen to complete projects efficiently.
Skills
Proven experience in construction painting, carpentry, or general maintenance person work.
Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials related to plastering.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Skilled in caulking techniques for sealing joints and gaps effectively.
Excellent manual dexterity with hand tools such as trowels, putty knives, and brushes.
Good physical stamina for lifting materials and working on scaffolding or ladders at heights.
Effective communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions from supervisors.
