Our organization is searching for a highly motivated, reliable and dedicated professional CNC Plasma Operator to join our night shift. The ideal candidate will have Plasma Cutting experience in a metal fabrication shop.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operate state of the art Plasma Cutting equipment.
• Read blue prints and understanding drawings.
• Work with precision measuring tools - Tape measure, Vernier, Caliper, **Measuring and verifying parts after cutting to ensure the process has been completed properly.
• Document heat numbers, verify counts are accurate.
• Accountable for quality and workmanship.
• Clean parts to customer specifications.
• Load and unload machines.
• Ensure production schedule follows through as allocated by the scheduling department.
• Perform minor maintenance in work area in accordance with company standards and manufacturers machine recommendations.
• Practice safe work procedures at all times.
• Participate in process focused continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to ongoing training for success in position.
• Work closely with your fellow team members to build a cohesive and mutually respectful team environment.
• Load and unload trucks at the warehouse.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as set by our Company.
• Use forklifts, cranes, trucks, wrapping machinery safely and correctly.

A Qualified candidate would have the following:

• Be Safety oriented and Quality focused.
• Previous experience with Plasma and/or Laser Cutting Equipment
• Blue print reading knowledge would be an asset.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Possess some knowledge of and ability to identify fabrication industry metals.
• Utilize effective oral communication and numeracy.
• Problem solving, job task planning and organizational skills.
• Be able to stand for long periods, lift 50 lbs and possesses manual dexterity.
• Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.
• Display a can-do attitude.
• Possesses the ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
• Ensures attention to detail.
• Excellent Attendance record.
• Basic Computer skills.
