The Plant Worker will be responsible for supporting the daily operations and production activities within the company's manufacturing facility. The position includes operating machinery, assembling and inspecting products, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, monitoring inventory levels, assisting with material handling, and ensuring all production processes meet quality standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in all oat milling manufacturing systems
Perform minor repairs as needed
Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment before operations begin to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
Operates in accordance with all food safety and employee safety requirements
Participate in all in-house relevant training
Maintain cleaning standards in all areas of the mill
All other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs
Solid oral and written communication skills
Solid problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Able to work independently and in a team environment
Experience working in the operation of a grain elevator an asset, but not required
