We are looking for an individual to fill our role of
Plant Operator
Pitura Seeds owns and operates the largest family-owned pedigreed seed processing facility in Western Canada. With a commitment to pedigreed seed that dates back to 1950 and spans three generations, today the company grows and contracts tens of thousands of acres of top-quality cereals, pulses and oilseeds on a yearly basis. Their industry-leading quality control, highly efficient seed processing and treating, and top tier agronomy team deliver the high standards their customers have come to trust. Located 25 minutes south of Winnipeg at Domain MB, the individual would be reporting directly to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Operation of our two state of the art seed cleaning facilities.
- Movement of grain with semitrailers at our location
- Operate various Tractors, Conveyors, Augers and grain handling equipment
- Seed plant equipment repair and maintenance
- Treating seed and servicing customers as they pick up their seed
- 50lbs bagging, Bulk toting and bulk container loading
Qualifications
- Class 5 driver's license
- Forklift experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work independently or as part of the team
- Strong organization skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
